Etymology
From Latin Graecus, from Ancient Greek Γραικός (Graikos, “a character in Greek mythology”) (a son of Thessalos, the king of Phthia), whom Ἑλλάς (Hellas, “Greece”), and Ἕλληνες (Hellenes), were also named after; see also Ἕλλην and Hellen.
